A Stray.. But Does The Dog Die?
Began finally watching this charming film about a young Somali Man that everything seems to be going wrong for and a stray dog he picked up after an accident- who incidentally have quite a bit in common. The story line has quite a bit of depth to it, all well and good but does the die? lol Matter of fact someone posted that in the comments “This dog better not die.” That’s always how it is in films and such. lol There will be all kinds of moral points about it, have all kinds of tragedy going on but if there is a dog involved everyone asks “Does the dog die?!” There actually is a site called “Does the dog die” that a film watcher can look at whether a dog dies in tv/film or not before viewing it.
In seriousness the film touches on being poor, youths, homelessness, cultural norms, being a stray in a world, Indigenous peoples, Refugees, how the government often uses people of refugee statuses against their own communities, the intuition, emotional intelligence, and friendship of animals and so forth.
