In 1971 the Bangladeshi people underwent a out of mind ethnic cleansing by West Pakistani Army began a crackdown and suppression on the Bengali people. The massacre lasted 8 months from March 26 1971 to December 16 1971. The death tolls range from 300,000 to 3,000,000.

The genocide was based upon race. The crimes included deportation, mass murder, and mass rape. The decree was ordered by President of Pakistan at the time.

In this month of Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month it is appurtenant to commemorate the forgotten genocide, those who were removed from this earth, and the survivors.
