People not of that generation nor privy sometimes didn’t believe the whole police crashing NWA shows was a true story. I believe this was the footage from one show in which MTV News Staff were present filming. It was a real scenario that the group were instructed to not perform the song “F the Police” or NWA songs in general practically. The song was actually an anti- police brutality, anti-oppression song NOT an anti-police song. There is a huge difference. It had more to do with repression and the powers that be not wishing to be held accountable for their vast abuses, harassment, and murder of People of Color therefore they wanted to quiet the outspoken like all oppressors do. That aside think about if you tell any young early 20 something year old creative NOT to do something well 20 something year old’s being 20 year old’s are going to do exactly that therefore the PD were kind of baiting for it honestly plus it was ignorant. The song wasn’t supporting kill police arbitrarily they were specifically and obviously speaking on violent oppressive harassing abusive officers and corrupt infrastructures who use their badge to torment people of color. The lyrics were apparent but it really wasn’t about that it was about the power struggle and control over people of color like still too frequently many whites or just predators of the community think they have an entitlement to. Those kind don’t like outspoken real people of color who have something relevant and pertinent to actual life to say therefore they deem to control it when they are really not in charge at all.. matter of fact a lot of them can’t even control themselves let alone anyone else not to mention it is not their call nor business. That is why POC need to stick together in a great deal of respects and not allow that type of Eurocentric element to divide and cause contention between us. That is what any enemy does, an enemy divides and conquers. That is a whole aforesaid post in and of itself. If you don’t take up for you own or support your own when we are not wrong or have been wronged then you are not a real one.

Since the still among us members recreate an homage to that era. It was an era of the last gasps at eurocentric oppression in America attempting to exert it’s power because they realized they were on their last leg of dominance in this country thus they were going to be brought down sooner or later. It was bound to happen at some point be it 20 or 30 years following the fact.
