Reconciliation with the Taliban has proven to be short lived. The militant group has recently been overtaking areas and has advanced onto Afghanistan. The invasion has been so that the most recent development is the Taliban leader by the name of ,Mullah Adbul Ghani Baradar, has been declared the new president of Afghanistan. Former President Ashraf Ghani has announced his relinquishment of power, he has fled to Tajikistan leaving the people to the Taliban’s devices.

It is not at all dumbfounding. Since the beginning of their militancy their doctrine teaches to destroy “infidels”. That is why they have been responsible for the murders and be-headings of 47,245 civilians and 66,000 to 69,000 of Afghan Military as well as Police. The most recent threat is upon Women’s Rights Workers in the area, Activists, Journalists, etc.

There are have further been reports and video that have surfaced that upon their overtaking the city of Kabul thousands of prisoners were released by the Taliban including Al-Qaeda and members of ISIS.

This resurgence of the Taliban is an imminent Human Rights catastrophe especially towards Afghan Women, Girls, Activists, Journalists, the Afghan people, or anyone who stands against the militant group.
