Afghanistan: Oppression
The last few days the world has seen further concrete evidence as to just how oppressive the Taliban really are. Photos and first narratives of journalists have revealed the brutality towards freedom of speech and freedom of the press. Within days of overtaking Afghanistan Girls and Women were not only the subjects of violence inflicted upon them but also Journalists. One Journalist was reportedly beheaded within the first 48 hours of the group’s conquering of Afghanistan. VICE was among the first to break the latest images and story of Human Rights abuses by the Taliban. (Trigger Warning.)

In the calamity of Afghanistan there are however extremely courageous Girls and Women who instead of fleeing are essentially risking their lives to take to the streets in order to campaign for Girls Education. They are currently trending as #PenPathGirlsEduCampaign
Albeit photos are circulating I won’t post them here to further protect their identities of these powerful revolutionary Girls and Women. To stand up to terrorism and tyranny is the very uprising that will overthrow it.
