Blood and Chocolate

Before Twilight by about 8 years publication wise or so was Blood And Chocolate. Read the publication later turned film as a kid in the 2000’s. For 2000’s works it isn’t too bad. It never became a series just a singular published work. Don’t think the film did so well box office wise when it came out in 2007 but then Twilight came about in it’s Saga’s in 2008 which everyone knows how those did. It was an honest effort. The plot goes basically a young Girl named , Vivian, is a Werewolf living the life of half Young Woman half Wolf. The publication was better than the film honestly. If maybe they had put more into the acting, storyline, and CGI it could have grossed more than it did but the world hadn’t been exposed to the fantasy sci-fi of Werwolves etc set in the modern world. It could’ve been a Twilight epic it just didn’t ever quite reach that measure. When I was a kid I looked at it like the life of being half ethnic half the other and or on cases like my own multi ethnic and those semi parallels. Feeling the pressure to be of divided loyalties of ethnicities or seems to be as an adolescent, balancing who you are and who you look like to the world. Of course in the 2020’s that discussion isn’t really applicable anymore societally speaking because honestly no one cares that much like in the 90’s and 2000’s. It was a different time and very different world. 🤷🏽‍♀️. Pretty much most Americans especially are mixed with something anyway somewhere in the bloodline few if any are fully anything. But for a 2000’s pop culture feel check out Blood & Chocolate… the pre Twilight era. 😄
