Colonizer Proprietorship

A component all colonizers have in concise terms:

“I am/we are proprietor, originator, and innovation behind everything…”

Indigenous people throughout the globe, Black, and Jewish people everywhere…

“Uhm….. we were kind of here first.”

If you think about colonizers they have never founded or originated anything, they just think they did. Indigenous, People Of Color, and Jewish people (formally Hebrew brown people of the Middle East) were on Native lands, doing or cultivating everything colonizers attempt to take the credit for. Colonizers always believe themselves as the only beings to have ever existed or achieved anything when really when you analyze it they haven’t done anything except exploit, oppress, and believe themselves as a superior race they are not honestly if we’re going by merit-able deeds. Brown and Black people have been some of the most original, forward thinking, ahead of the curve, and innovative peoples in history. Many Brown and Black groups are among the oldest peoples on the planet. We really were here first. Therefore when colonizers believe they own or the imagination of anything it’s almost a laugh if it were not for the ravage of Brown and Black people colonizers inflicted. The truth is Eurocentricism has always been behind the curve despite the superiority complex of the ideology. There were a couple of biracial girls who did a video some years ago during the first wave of the Black Lives Matter movement. They spoke on how they experienced and felt White people females especially not only appropriate that of people of color but always deem to take up space and have to be in the middle of everything. That consensus has been heard repeatedly by POC and it’s unfortunate that Brown and or Black people we have every reason to feel that way based on a drawn out history of it. First colonizers oppressed us, exploited, enslaved us, killed us even to this day, then they copy and take credit for the validities of our marks in culture. There is always that vibe of they have to conquer everything and anything of ours, our spaces, voices, music, our styles, jargon, anything. It’s unfortunate they can’t seem to allow us have our spaces etc without interfering in some form. I suppose colonizers are not willing to admit their era of running things is over therefore there remains those remnants that can’t seem to grasp that. It really is becoming we’re not the minorities anymore they are therefore maybe they need to show us a little more respect because honestly we have every reason not to like nor tolerate them. There was a scene from a early 2000’s film titled ,Save The Last Dance, that was controversial for it’s time. The Black female character ,Nicky, although had problems she had a point after a scuffle with the main protagonist ,Sarah, a white Girl who basically had moved in on her ex. The statement her character made was succinct in the sense of a colonizer mentality however,

“The whole world isn’t enough you have to conquer ours too.”

That is a truth of historical fact.
