Counter Hype

I’ve never been one to buy into hype or support it. I’m not a hype based person never have been. I like what I like and dislike what I dislike. I don’t follow trends never have don’t believe in them because what is a trend today won’t be in time sooner or later. Trends come trends go. Time moves forward so do trends. Trends are fleeting and don’t have weight on anything in the end. Life is like that too in a sense one minute people are here next they’re gone, time is short in the context of the world and how long it has existed. If you think even in the terms of a century what is talked about now in pop culture won’t even be in anyone’s conversation or vocabulary it’ll be something or someone else. Basically if people realized how insignificant anyone is in the grand scheme of time they wouldn’t think themselves as nearly as important, presumptuous, or full of themselves as are. As Frank Zappa said in his last interview when asked how he wanted to be remembered? His reply was great in “I don’t care. It doesn’t matter. It’s not important to be remembered.” 🤷🏽‍♀️ Honestly it’s a good idea to only take hype and trends with a grain of salt because for one it doesn’t matter in life for two it’ll disappear eventually.
