In this era of Black Lives Matter-ing and Brown Lives Matter-ing first of all we have to command that of ourselves. As one gentleman who is Black American by the way that I’m acquainted with said when the Black Lives Matter Movement began nearly a decade ago “This is disrespectful all around. We often don’t often even respect ourselves talking about N__ this, B__ that, H_ this (with a badge of honor.) We act like trash then wonder why we are treated accordingly.” Of course the majority of fellow people of color aren’t it’s the minority that gives a bad name and a disgrace all round especially when it comes to Women. The way you act reflects on all of us and also falls back on all of us so it’s no wonder in conjunction with entitlement from offending parties we have the highest rates of violence committed against us, you attract what you are most often. You attract what you deserve by your presentation of yourself. If you have no self respect you won’t get any respect from anyone else very minutely at least or only pseudo respect from those of like mindedness. If more parents of color would check their often grown children when they act and are ratchet we wouldn’t have probably 1/2 the problems we do towards us. As a Woman of color myself I won’t go near trash, look at it, respect it, talk to it, deal with it, work with it nothing that are nothing but problems. In this day and age there is 0 reason to knowingly be so low class mentality wise and ignorant. In America especially that’s a choice not something that’s been laden on you if you act like that. It’s 2020 despite what pop culture thinks is in, media, social media, etc it’s about time to begin having some self respect and dignity.

“It isn’t about content and substance. You get this image (in the media) of Black America that is totally contrary (by and large) than what actually goes on.” Prince

If Black Lives really Matter how about let’s start with us first. It has to matter to us. The end case closed period.
