I have to say this remake is the better. The first one was too much over the top. The Patriarch character of the Jade the protagonist in either or is definitely an antagonistic entitled control freak narcissistic a$$ that goes without saying but in this version it’s a slightly more complex scenario based on the loss of his son (Jade’s brother.) It is a good film with heart. And the soundtrack is great.
