Yesterday was the 6 anniversary of the passing of the late artist Prince. This led to people and supporters posting mementos.

I was attempting to locate the section of the interview on youtube where he spoke on just the fan-atic part but could only pull up the entire interview. There was a section where a caller asked Why he was so private etc. The reply he gave was about some of his experiences with the fan-atical. Anytime anyone is a legitimate public figure especially if they have finacial means you’re going to draw an element of fan-aticism and or off kilter in some way perception wise. If you’re a supporter you’re a supporter, if a hateful a hateful acquaintance an acquaintance an industry female an industry female leave it at that. That is anything in life. Neither or grants an entitlement to people or their lives when you are not in their lives especially interpersonal not really. In the main line of work I’m in we work with or partner with them all the time, we keep it vocation based. We have our work they have theirs we don’t mingle with them personally. Not encouraged nor a good objective especially if they live less than savory lives. We can’t get mixed up in that but that is a whole other post by itself. It brings too many issues and an element we can’t be having in our professional nor personal lives. We really have a presentation and authentic selves to uphold. We can’t be involved in any crap or individuals who are about that to be blunt. We can’t be playing let alone on low levels. There has a meme I’ve seen on Social Media that reads “Your name is your brand don’t allow anyone to play with it” that can mean a number of things but mainly it means if you’re really a professional to be taken seriously don’t allow people to play games with or toss your image about like it doesn’t have any weight or meaning to it especially if we’ve done work that is as pertinent/known as in the fields we are in. You can’t allow people to attempt to smear your authentic character and work in anyway not in our line of work that can’t be allowed there’s often repercussions for it. People need to be aware there are spaces and what some refer to as levels of things to put it in more layman terms. That isn’t a snobbish stance that is a “You can’t walk into or deal with professional people acting like an idiot” type way. That’s Karen, Daren and or psycho behavior acting stupid demanding to see the manager or it’s parallel. You got to know how to come out as the saying goes. No one will take you seriously acting simple, entitled, bombastic, or fan-atical.

I had posted on social media that people do need to know their place in life and where they stand. And we aren’t even going to speak on those who say everyone is their fan when in blunt terms the only fan they have is the one on their ceiling as the saying goes.
