The film illustrates the existence of and ode to all psychos everywhere more or less. lol Psycho’s have the eye expression too that lights-on-nobody-home the-elevator-ain’t-stopping-on-any-floors can-snap-your-fingers-in-their-face-nothing-there. I’ve dealt with enough of them they’re about like that in-nowhere-no-apropos-of-realm-of-no-return. lol

The film was actually low budget for a film at $300,000 but raked in about $70,000,000. It really played on the psychology of audiences which was why it was so successful. It wasn’t overly gory but more suggestive. Many times less is more when it comes to any type of art. More isn’t always better.
