One of the empowering aspects of the story that is the Festival of Lights we are to never throwaway who we are as Judeo Christians for the secular status quo and always stand up for who’s we are..and who we are. In fact during WWII the Jewish and Christian resistance fighters would relay the story of Hanukkah as source of motivation to fight for freedom against their own tormentors. Being people of the book we are to not fear fighting for and standing up for our holy faith, commandments, and selves. We are in the world but not of the world. This time of year it is to recall we have all authority and power in the God of Abraham and thus His true people will always triumph. It is a testament that those who attempt to rise up against God will not overthrow God Almighty and He will put an end to it. The wickedness of the world can’t extinguish the light of God or those who actually serve him keeping his commandments. We don’t follow the world or fit in with the world because we are a holy people who are set apart from it.

Even though a kitschy cartoon for children ,Lights, does present the Hanukkah story well and with impact.
