Hollyweird Prejudice

I have been rightfully harsh on Hollyweird openly, celebrity let alone wannabe celebrity dysfunctional culture, and it’s adjacent sectors because what bothers me is they won’t barely if whatsoever glance at frequently factual artistry. I’ve no doubt I have paid a price for it. My problem with Hollyweird is it’s nepotism, prejudice towards christianity or really religion, racism, ageism and sexism towards Women. I was speaking to a colleague on that subject during a project. We were speaking on the injustice of it particularly towards minorities or those of practicing Judeo Christian. Hollyweird grants no one a fair shake let alone minorities. So long as these I hate to talk of gatekeepers but really gatekeepers are in charge the longer they aren’t going to grant minorities a chance other than the dysfunctional stereotypical types. They want their leads or chosen ones to be the lightest least minority appearing as possible. Take a gander at every single lead and big name, they are white passing or close to it. That’s why Kendrick Lamar crafted that song “They Not Like Us” it was not solely a buck against Drake but the system. IE Broadway’s latest Romeo and Juliet I dare say they wouldn’t cast a black or darker or more ethnic person for that role I doubt they would fathom it. Hence why they stick with a lighter Hispanic and a European male. I’m sure they had thousands audition of “Hey I’m alive and I am well capable of carrying this role” but they won’t give any that aren’t that a millisecond. I was among those that submitted for any role available having the ability to scale to a C7, have SAG representation, worked in theater/musicals, and have studied acting with renowned acting coaches/studios. Not a peep which I comprehend they’re likely flooded with emails etc but that’s the norm. I guarantee you Purple Rain the musical will be botched by casting it’s been said a European male and likely the lightest least ethnic looking female they can scrounge up.

The last remake of Romeo and Juliet a decade prior cast a Black Woman and it flopped according to critics albeit the production/acting was spotless being they didn’t promote it like the latest. I would say there is a prejudice in Hollyweird and its adjacent regions. Majority of roles they will not cast an Indigenous person, AAPI, and barely tolerate Blacks in Hollyweird. To be successful in it being a minority person we are driven to create our own sectors where we can really be seen and given credence to. This is why Tyler Perry created his empire for Black and Brown talent to have a chance, 50 Cent, Oprah Winfrey, because had they relied on the system they likely wouldn’t be who they are. That is why Indigenous we have our venues basically because the Hollyweird system doesn’t want us in the mix unless it caters to the Hollyweird stereotypes or fit roles.
