There was absolutely nothing offensive about what Lawmaker and Co-leader of the Maori Party ,Rawiri Waitit, stated. Anyone else would’ve done the Haka too. Whether non Indigenous people of any land like it or not we were here first they are nothing more than a guest that took over therefore in actuality they’re out of line and have some serious galling sense of entitlements to actually behave or believe otherwise towards us. If anyone should have sat down it was Trevor Mallard. This is our month anyhow, their land maybe he should sit his a$$ down and shut up? It is revolting given everything Pacific Islander and or Indigenous peoples in general have been put through by colonization when we do dissent we are the first one’s to be silenced and disrespected.
