This utter mishandling of sex trafficking survivors within the legal system especially when it involves minors AND of color at that is beyond prevalent. Still in 2021 it’s despicable and a further shame on the American injustice system that has constantly revictimized these CHILDREN. It’s sickening and entirely needs to be corrected. Youths of color make up at least 75% of the Sex Trafficking trade and most have dealings with the injustice system like so it’s not uncommon the disproportional treatment youths of color receive by the system is a stark contrast than non THAT is a proven fact and it needs to cease. These are children and youths that have been preyed on NOT the other way of grown predators somehow being the victims. It’s absurd entirely and deeply rooted in racism, sexism, and stereotypes.
