Jyoti Singh: India’s Daughter

She became known to the world as ,India’s Daughter, following the inhumane rape and attack in which left her not only disemboweled by a group of males but as a result ultimately lost her life due to the extremities of her injuries caused by these various attackers. The attack of Jyoti shocked the world but also sparked the outcry followed by a movement against the astounding rates of sexual violence inflicted on India’s Girls and Women. It has been estimated as high as 85% of India’s Girls and Women had or will subsequently endure sexual assault… in complete injustice for perpetrators might it be added. Albeit her case made World Wide news the global shout for justice uncovered cases like Singh were by no means far outside of the norm in India. There was a documentary about her case titled India’s Daughter. I believe it is available on Netflix as well as Amazon Prime albeit it has been many years since I viewed it but last I saw it was available.
