Magical Thinking- The Sign of a Mental Disorder
The problem with magical thinking is beings who exhibit that can really be detrimental to others because they live psychologically in la la fictitious like Charles Manson family realm. They don’t grasp the difference between reality and fantasy. Especially if they have manic mood swings. They are capable of harming people because they don’t have their head wrapped around reality and fantasy. Things like the Holocaust were real, Rwanda was real, Human Trafficking is real what magical off in delusions of fantasy concoct and attempt to equate it to most often is not real nor valid it has no baring on anything nor weight to anything. A magical thinker will equate textbook human rights crisis to the equivalent of stubbing a toe always involving them, they are not the same obviously. Magical thinkers don’t live in the real world they’re delusional living in a delusional play world.

I’ve said this before. Taking characters from some sort of medium and it resonating is one thing while aware it isn’t real life but to live through some unrealistic fictitious created solely for entertainment purposes and attempt to recreate that in real life is called mentally not wrapped to be blunt and out of touch with reality. That is what makes types like that possibly detrimental to the world because they don’t distinguish between what is real and what is not. What is going on around them and what isn’t which leads to paranoia. They’re the types that could bash someone in the head because they saw it in some entertainment medium and not equate the reality of those consequences. They dissociate from reality. The Manson family really thought they were going to evolve into elves and sprout wings among a bunch of other whackiness. These are types who are mentally damaged in some way that need intensive psychiatric therapy anyone who plays on that and jeers that are as warped as those types because they are not harmless. That type of disruptive mentality disrupts thinking patterns which can lead to crime towards innocent people because they don’t perceive it as violating someone else’s rights they perceive it as playing like a kid would do from some medium they liked. They don’t have the ability to differentiate reality from fantasy. Someone could probably snap their fingers in front of their face and it probably wouldn’t register.
