Murders in Mexico fall 3.6% in 2021, but femicides rise

In Latin America and particularly Mexico it is a staggering problem for Girls and Women as is sexual violence and sex trafficking. There was one story of a Mexican Mother who was sick of the exemption of those who inflict femicide and violence upon Girls/Women particularly on her daughter therefore she took the law into her own hands. Not so unlike the epidemic of violence targeted towards Indigenous Girls and Women in the Americas as a whole Mexico has a history of this practice at alarming rates. The country of El Salvador actually has the highest rate of Femicide to date in the world. Much of this violence often has to do with criminal networks, cartels, etc etc.
