Statistics convey since 2013 there have been over 2,000 mass shootings.

Since Columbine in 1999 there seems to have been a growing trend of this atrocious crime.

Then there is the story of the young Girl by the name of Cassie Bernall in which one of the Columbine shooters asked if she believed in God. Being a believer she said Yes and that was the last words she spoke as it was said the shooters targeted Christians, Popular kids, and really anyone they felt resentment towards. There was a memoir penned for her aptly titled “She Said Yes.”

This horrendous trend of violence needs to involve Mental Health Care, Gun Control, Education, and Law to respond quickly to the red flags upon their signs being present. The mental health care system and gun control is severely lagging. For those who remember the popular Christian group POD created a song about the Santee shooting which occurred in 2001 called “Youth of a Nation.” Powerful doesn’t describe it well enough staggering and will invoke goosebumps really that over 20 years after the fact youths are being subjected to these senseless acts of violence. The photos on the wall in the video were of the youths killed in School shootings. The creation of the song was actually composed while the youths of Santee were evacuated. The band members spoke on they could hear the helicopters while in the studio as the group is from Santee.
