Much Hasn’t Changed

In 2020 it’s unfortunate to think when documentaries, actual lived experiences, or footage is played of the ethnic based riots in the 1960s, 1990s, and now that it’s still occurring. If you view the acclaimed documentaries “Burn Mutha F__r Burn” and “LA 92” both speak much on the violence Brown and Black people are still faced with. For those that haven’t ever been exposed to that retribution for the injustice of allowing abusive PD officers, corrupt injustice systems, White abusive citizens, etc towards people of color it’s unfortunate our peoples are still felt to respond that way — it has been that societally much hasn’t come far in all the time. When we are being killed off worse than dogs left and right. That people of color are still subjected to violence in some form or another in total impunity. It’s a shame honestly in particularly our country that it is still allowed. Minnesota practically had to be burned to the ground by enraged Brown and Black citizens before any justice was even considered. And of course the Breonna Taylor case everyone is aware of that a neighbor’s wall was more important than her life and loss of it. Think about the magnitude of that. It shouldn’t be at all in 2020. As one protestor once carried a sign reading “Can This Really Be Happening In America?”

Yes indeed it is. When we have a privileged white male head of a country telling bigoted hateful groups such as the “Proud Boys” to “Stand By” not much can be said after that. He’s kind of like a car salesman in that respect. There was a Cracked.com article once entitled “How Half The Country Lost It’s Damn Mind.” It really is true.
