While getting up to speed with the Israel Palestine conflict being it is the worst conflict in the area since 2014, it has be pondered viewing all of the violence and death “Have these leaders ever stopped to notice all the children and young people dead?” Has anyone fighting and squabbling in the conflict the multitude of displaced people, the deaths, what has become so normalized for the people in all of this war? Does that even matter to them? Do they even give a damn about their own people enough to cease this violence? Putting the peoples out for slaughter, it is shameful.

I have written of this before however in 2000, 21 years ago there was an Emmy Award Winning moving documentary titled “Children In War” that was shown on HBO a great deal for quite sometime. It covered the surviving children of numerous war torn regions Israel and Palestine included. It is a shame to say obviously the situation between the 2 nations has not improved since. It has only become more dire. It is urged of any country leader to hear these children speak of what war imprinted upon them and really reevaluate what their actions are causing for the people.

From a personal stand point to place things into perspective, in my time as an intern as a Journalist I worked with a Young Girl from Palestine who was a photo journalist and activist, together we were to work on a piece with my words and the images she saw on a daily basis. The images were so horrific of both Israeli and Palestinian violence we couldn’t even use the footage nor photos for the article. That was her normal that has no place being the normal of anyone let alone children or young people as a whole. We will not have any peace in our world until people begin placing themselves in the shoes of those they often so despise or just ignorant to.
