Passover: The Plagues

This is why to this day it is not wise to contend with God and or those who serve him. To quote a profound pastor “God will mess with those that mess with you.” It’s a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. If those who do so often want to be “dark” and “evil” they’ll reap the consequences for that. You wanted to be that so you’ll pay the price for it. What you reap in life you sow. God has the final say and will not have it. He sent the plagues to Egypt to give Pharaoh the simple ultimatum of “Let my people go.” Of course Pharaoh in his arrogance would not therefore God took everything away from him and the Egyptian kingdom to demonstrate “I am God you are not. I mean business. I’m tired of you oppressing my people.” Anyone who has contended with God has lost. The Nazi regime fell and hitler like the coward he was ended himself than face what he’d done. Of course there’s the famous list of those who publicly mocked God and died under violent or mysterious circumstances.

Always remember no one is more than just a person, God has the power to show you who he is and can take everything away in a heart beat. As people no one is that powerful or in control. That’s the truth of it. You do not want to contend with God because you will lose.

“Touch not my anointed ones and do my profits no harm.” Psalm 105:15
