A 1974 creative film on the music and entertainment industry. It mixes a Phantom of the Opera storyline with a quirky Rock Opera — with elements of Poe thrown in. It’s an odd striking commentary on everything from ownership, the often snare of contracts, the whole sexual expectations of Women and Girls in it aka the casting couch, the seductive persuasive deviousness of the powers that be, ageism in the industry, the blood sucker execs, narcs use in the industry, selling your soul for worldly notability and the like. It’s peculiar comedy with a macabre twist to the real life dark world of the entertainment business.
