Sarafina

Sarafina is trending on social media. I’ve spoken of the film several times over the last over decade I’ve been online. Like most youth activists I grew up watching it and have spoken of I identified with the character of Sarafina still do. It’s a fictional account of factual events that took place during the Apartheid. Sarafina was a Girl of color with mana and willing to maintain a stance for what was morally right as was and am I. Shame it didn’t remain on Broadway for too lengthy of a time which it really needed to be especially given all of the racial and tension of inequalities that far surpassed the 1980s and 90’s. Hollywood needs to create a remake which would be excellent.
