Much like real life wickedness and callousness you can’t show any mercy to the wicked because they don’t show any mercy or anything even remotely human to anyone that either isn’t just as nefarious as they OR isn’t in line with them. God pretty much has to bring evil beings to their knees to entirely destroy them to the point they either turn from their wicked ways OR they become non existent. Such as with the story of Sodom and Gomorrah in scripture God demolished the city and all inhabitants because of their reprobate mind they had been turned over to. That is what happens in modern day to the wicked either they change into a better remorseful person or they expire eventually because either or they don’t continue to dwell on in their remorseless lack of conscience. 🤷🏽‍♀️
