Temujin

More information on one of my ancestors ,Temujin, aka ,Genghis Khan, that many may not be aware of.

He was quite a complex individual like many people. He had his good points. One aspect of him that is believed about him was he did not have brown eyes and black hair. Their are accounts that he either had Blonde Hair with Blue eyes or Red Hair and Green eyes.. Both despite what is often thought of were common traits of Mongolian people. Also, there is knowledge he was an accepting figure of different faiths. He was not an oppressor in that respect and was a bit of a humanitarian for his day as a leader.
