What did 1995’s pre-advanced technology “The Net” present (In a obviously embellished way?) It was a precautionary tale, a premonition of the dangers of the then forthcoming technological advancements in the hands of the public let alone criminals. Back in the day crimes such as various Cyber Crimes, Cyber Attacks by Troll Groups, China, Russia, Cyber Tracking, Credit Card Fraud, Bank Fraud, Identity Theft, Cyber Harassment, Doxing, and Cyber Stalking practically didn’t exist in what is today’s post 2000’s world, that door has been left wide open for cyber criminals or just criminals in general. The things that go on now effecting reality were once thriller stories of the silver screen. Now information and people are accessible at the touch of a button practically if a cyber criminal has that competence level. Second cautionary tale point never isolate yourself it is too easy for perpetrators to hone in on and find a target, to wind up missing, assaulted, trafficked, or face down with no one having seen or aware of your whereabouts. Never give anyone especially online too much information about yourself or really anyone you do not know, knowing of someone online is NOT the same as knowing them OR people you do not know well in real life. People have been isolated in this era of COVID but it is still NOT a wise idea to deal with people like that. I only deal with people on a professional level online especially and make damn sure after all the provable/reported cyber insanity over the years I’ve encountered they aren’t a lunatic with technological capacities. There have been expose’s on the issue of Troll Farms which essentially are created by areas such as Russia, China, Canada, or troll mill websites. In issues pertaining to Russia or China the governments actually pay people to troll, hack, cyber attack, and cause technological upheaval based especially within the US. It their way of attempting to dismantle democracy in America and create havoc. That is their job basically to cause contention and chaos, even going as far as to create videos and social media profiles without a hint of accent. They will make whacky statements and spout outlandishness all to cause upheaval of some kind. Most of these types online like that are trolls that have been paid to do so OR only mimicking that for any number of reasons. It is unreal but it’s the modern world we live in unfortunately.
