The Night Stalker

Courtesy of- Netflix

An in-depth but of course disconcerting docuseries about the serial predator known as “The Night Stalker” in the 1980’s who unlike most notorious predators had no pattern, those he victimized ranged from children to Men, Women, Elderly everyone. What makes this documentary different than many similar documentaries is the fact they really do focus more on the good guys if you will who God bless them investigated the gruesome crimes and solved it ultimately. The survivors as well and the victims who didn’t live through their horrific ordeal.

Like numerous professionals I have worked in the spectrum of investigations but God bless investigators and detectives who do the bulk of the forensic parts of it. It’s God awful what they have to see in person and analyze. Photos, videos, etc are one thing but to be at scene in person is a whole separate experience. These professionals were and are incredible. I don’t recommend this documentary for the faint of heart, easily squeamish, or triggered as the predator was like predators tend to be sheer evil — entirely irredeemable. They don’t have anything human or humane in them. It’s imperative in these cases these predators aren’t given voice but the victimized, survivors, and case handlers.
