Quite a touching story based on true story called “Fly Away Home.” It was an autobiography turned film about a young Girl whom upon losing her Mother in a car accident that she herself was seriously injured in her estranged Father stepped in to take care of her taking her back to the Northern Territory region as opposed to New Zealand where she was from. Upon her new life she came across goose eggs after contractors illegally plowed down one of the last reservoirs in the area on their land. She imprints on the Geese and as a result she must instruct them how to fly in order to relocate south. Her Father built a small aircraft in order for her to man or rather Girl it while he would fly in an adjacent aircraft being she was only 14 at the time in the film adaption of course. In attempts to further ensure their safety the team were promised a location in the South Carolina area for their descent as they are creatures of habit. It was a success and needless to say unprecedented especially for 1986 upon the true story taking place. It was quite a story and how the media actually followed and supported these heroic efforts conveyed the goodness of humanity.
