How timely on Anti Slavery Day. For those of us who were enslaved, modern day enslavement, trafficked, exploited, whatever the terminology one wants to refer to it once we were freed physically we made the choice to begin our freedom journey spiritually, emotionally, psychologically because enslavement isn’t about just the physical it’s all about perpetrators controlling everything about you. That’s where Stockholm syndrome comes in for many. Those of us who have survived that type of oppression know what it was like to be controlled, domineered over and we sure aren’t going back to any kind of captivity. Never allow anyone to control you in any form even God doesn’t require that he requires free will and choice.
