Trial By Media
Because many people like drama and entertainment. Now we have Social Media which eventually will end, there are people who get on social media and their entire usage of it is obtain a reaction and attention. They exploit people in some form or another for their own achievement. To feel some sense of power they don’t have. The internet is their sick playground. That’s their whole motivation and MO in life. That kind of sleazy entertainment was at one time from daytime trash tv now it’s social media and imitation news.
There’s a place for call out culture for extreme cases such as what we saw with MeToo, TimesUp, BlackLivesMatter but to utilize it to start contention, stalk, bully, harass, and to inflict harm onto innocent decent people is the modern day trash tv. This mentality as we know has seeped into “journalism” or rather artificial “journalism” and media as well. It has turned into paparazzi like mentality, it’s slightly better now but not much. As Denzel Washington said not long ago “Everyone wants to be first no one wants to tell the truth.”
