Groups of peoples frequently forgone of the Native American Heritage Month and Indigenous Peoples Day, Pacific Islanders particularly Women. In 2019 there was a film directed by 8 Pacific Islanders directors called Vai. It speaks to the empowerment of Polynesian Indigenous Girls and Women.

I further wrote on a real life Hawaiian warrior Haunani Kay Trask that spoke to our cultures.
