He said it well. Good analysis of where it came from. Disgraceful and demeaning all around. When Dr. King marched for Civil Rights I don’t think he was doing it for B__es, H-s, N__as or Th_ts talking about b’s in the hood and twerking their back ends being sex objects all over the place. I don’t think that’s what he envisioned for Brown and Black people. It’s self oppression. Someone in the comment section made a good point you influence the culture don’t allow the current cultural climate to influence you. It’s called self-respect. It’s about mentality and what is brought into the forefront and glamorized in the media. It’s disempowering and feeds destructive stereotypes. It does damage to minority people.
