Womens History Month- The Red Road Way
“Beauty is a Man Killer leading for her tribe, beauty is a Woman that controls her own mind. Beauty is a Woman’s body no matter the size and beauty is finding yourself by searching deep inside. Man doesn’t hurt a Woman cause the earth is a Woman. Everything that lives was given birth from a Woman. Your clan is from a Woman, you a Man because of a Woman. So turn to the one beside you better thank that Woman. Standing right beside you Girl I will always be a warrior for the Women of this world never will betray you. I bleed for our Women, I breathe for our Women but we mistreat our Women can we please be forgiven?” Red Eagle- Women
I posted this a few years ago about mainly Indigenous Women being we are such a minority but yet have the most severe forms of violence and abuse committed against us at an exuberant amount. This also includes as we’ve witnessed all Girls and Women of minority backgrounds. The original sentiment went as follows. Thunderous work by Choctaw artist by the name of Red Eagle. The lyrics must be listened to and taken for the truth that it is. I’ve been attempting to discover his music on Apple but so far I haven’t, same with lyrics as powerful as they are.
A male nor a female hurts a Girl nor a Woman be it physically, verbally, emotionally, mentally, sexually, menacingly, professionally, financially, relationally, cyber, stalking, or anything else. Nor is ANYONE allowed that entitlement to do so. If more Men would stand up, say something, or do something femicide and violence of any form would lessen a great deal if not cease altogether. Wanna be a warrior? Stand the hell up for us good Women really. That is where the rubber hits the road separating the self serving talkers and those who actually give a damn about Girls and Women especially marginalized ones IE Brown and Black sisters — not just talking to hear themselves talk.
“Sexism was created by mistreatment of the earth and when you rape the earth you rape the Woman’s worth.” Red Eagle Women
